About Us

About The Club

Established in 2014, Motspur Park Community FC is the only FA Three Star Accredited Club in the London Borough of Merton having previously held the former prestigious FA Charter Standard Community Club Status kitemark. The club is entirely run by a team of over 100 dedicated volunteers and volunteer coaching staff that enable us to provide footballing opportunities for over 1,000 members between the ages of 4 and 84!

The general aims of the club are to increase the number of people actively participating in sport by constantly expanding the footballing opportunities on offer to the local community. The club operates on a fully inclusive basis ensuring that everyone, regardless of their characteristics, has the opportunity to partake in football within a safe environment.

The club also aims to promote football and sport as a means of enhancing health education, learning opportunities and local community involvement, with young people acquiring sporting and personal skills from which they will derive lifelong benefits, self-respect, self-esteem, self-confidence, integrity and respect for others.

The club’s ethos is set around striving to develop potential which is achieved by raising coaching and playing standards as the club evolves year on year.

The Football FOR ALL Section

Motspur Park CFC FOR ALL is part of the non-profit Motspur Park Community Football Group comprising of an Adult section, Youth & Girls section, and as of 2022-23 season a specialist section dedicated to providing footballing opportunities for players with sensory, learning, or physical disabilities as well as neurodivergent or mental health challenges.

Our aim is to expand the level of local community engagement in sport by providing opportunities for disabled and neurodivergent people of all ages and abilities. We provide a football for all approach where anyone who wants to participate is welcome to.

Our additional needs section offers two types of memberships, training only or team membership. This allows players to participate as much or as little as they want within their comfort zones. Training only players receive a MPFC training top and jacket and can participate in as many or as few of the regular training sessions as they want. Team players receive in addition to this a full match kit and the option to play in as many of the monthly festival events as they want.

Our Values

The Football FOR ALL section at Motspur Park FC has a key set of core values that distinguish us from the competitive nature of mainstream football.

Inclusive

We want to provide an inclusive environment where players can feel comfortable participating in the game we all love regardless of their disability.

Equal Opportunities

We want to provide equal opportunities for everyone within our local community. We are focused on getting disabled players involved so whether you’re new to football or have some experience, everyone is welcome.

Welcoming

We want to provide a welcoming environment for everyone. We will therefore do our best to make any necessary adjustments so that each and every participant feels respected, valued, and welcome at our events.

Fun

We want everything we do to be FUN! We want our sessions to encourage everyone to get active through fun games and activities.
